Happy New Year, friends! I hope your holiday was restful and joyous.

January is going to be a hectic month! I am participating in some vocal workshops being offered by the fabulous Vancouver jazz singer Karin Plato. I’m also producing an exciting show called Under the Blue Umbrella. I am so excited about this music inspired by all things blue: blues, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, songs about the colour blue… The show has already sold out, so it seems Whitehorse is just as excited as I am!

There is still work to be done to finish up my debut album: a wee bit of recording and then all the mixing and mastering. I’m also working with a graphic artist to develop the packaging for the album. I’ve already written liner notes to share with you my thoughts and experiences surrounding each song selection on the album — I love reading liner notes and I think it’s a shame hardly anyone does them anymore.
