I’m a Fool for You: Live

My Facebook fan page recently hit the 500-fan milestone, and I’d promised to post a new live performance video when we reached that target. Happily, I was able to post one that was never-before-seen video, as I’d just had a visit with the videographer who taped the Song Rise CD release in November. That concert was to celebrate the brand-new compilation CD released by Yukon Women in Music. My song, “I’m a Fool for You” is Track #8 on that CD.

The concert was a magical evening of music, with 14 women performing all different styles of music from folk to rock to jazz (from yours truly!) I had the honour of opening the concert, which was doubly wonderful because it meant I could sit back and enjoy the rest of the evening without any tremor of nerves whatsoever.

Here’s the clip of my song from the show. I included the intro so you’d get the “broken fingernail” reference I mention. I get on stage at the 1:36 mark. Enjoy!

So cuuute – capped off with a little curtsy, no less. I didn’t know modern gals even knew what that is :-D

Well, I sing lots of old-fashioned songs, so why not have old-fashioned manners, too? Besides, I did LOTS of practice curtsying as a child. :)

Yay! Can’t wait to watch it! (I’m at work right now)
