A must-listen!

Diana Panton Long Dres Oh, friends! I got home not too long ago from a wonderful concert at the Yukon Arts Centre. Jazz Yukon invited Diana Panton to perform in Whitehorse, and she brought along with her Don Thompson, Guido Basso, and Reg Schwager, all of whom are incredible and internationally-recognized jazz masters. Besides having a genuine and genial stage presence, Diana has a sweet voice with a lovely subtle vibrato that sounds almost like a purr. And what's more, vocal jazz isn't the only thing she does in her life: she's also a full-time high school French Immersion teacher. I am completely inspired. Here's a taste of her music, in case she's as new to you as she was to me: [youtube="http://youtu.be/KhdZOrhnoAA"] And after you've listened to that, head over to her website. If you're in Western Canada, check out her tour schedule to see if you might be lucky enough to catch her performing live over the coming week.

Indeed, sweet is the right on description for that voice
