Tomorrow Grant Simpson and I will be flying off for a short tour across Canada. We will be playing concerts in Yellowknife, Iqaluit, and Ottawa before returning home to Whitehorse. I'm so excited about this; how many musicians can say they've done this circuit? The Yellowknife and Ottawa shows are both house concerts. I love doing house concerts because they are so warm and intimate. With 20 to 30 people in the audience, it's easy to connect, which is what I love most about performing. I'm also delighted to be going back to Iqaluit again, this time to participate in the Alianait Arts Festival. Grant and I will be doing one main performance and a couple of workshops and we'll have plenty of time to explore the town and meet with local musicians and other visiting performers. If you are in either Yellowknife or Ottawa, I'd love to see you! If you're not, but have friends in those places, please let them know and encourage them to come.
