The show on Thursday was a roaring success!  We filled the Old Fire Hall, the band was hot, and even though the set was made up mostly of jazz standards, I'm pretty sure there was something new for everyone there.  Many people have never heard the humorous verse that precedes "I've Got a Crush on You" and I know I surprised many others with the beautiful lullaby "Hushabye Mountain" from the musical film Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang. We ended the set with my original tune, "I'm a Fool for You", which, to my delight turned out to be a crowd favourite. The next day, I was surprised and thrilled to discover that our photo made the front page of the Whitehorse Star! There's nothing like a great night of music to feed the soul and inspire new ideas.  I have a feeling I'll be putting on my composer's hat tonight...
